ABOUT THE PHIL

The purpose of the Phil is to organize and maintain an orchestra for volunteer musicians of varying musical backgrounds from the surrounding region to perform musical programs for their own enjoyment as well as for the enjoyment and education of the community.

In the furtherance of our primary purpose, the Phil will also: (a) Assist educational institutions within the area in promoting music education and appreciation programs by providing opportunities for qualified students to perform with the Phil and/or in other music performance events; b) Foster the further development of music in the region.

The Phil welcomes new members. For more information about joining the Phil, please review our Audition page, complete the Contact us form or send an e-mail to our recruiter at (recruiter@floridaphilharmonia.org).

We rehearse every Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Lakeland, Florida.

The Florida Philharmonia Orchestra is a non-profit organization of volunteer musicians of all ages and abilities. We are dedicated to bringing the beauty and power of music to audiences throughout our region. Our mission is to promote music education and appreciation, and to provide a platform for talented musicians to showcase their skills. The Phil performs four concerts per season, free of charge.
