The Florida Philharmonia Orchestra is a volunteer organization of musicians with varying abilities who strive to make music for their own enjoyment and to share that enjoyment with the community.
In order to ensure a high level of performance in concert, members are expected to practice their music prior to rehearsals.
The orchestra's "inaugural" concert featured Christmas music and was a resounding success with the standing-room-only audience!
In the true spirit of "community", our concerts are offered free of charge so that all can experience and enjoy live symphonic music.
All musicians and staff members provide their services on a voluntary basis. According to Jerry Allen, one of the founding members of the orchestra, "We believe volunteerism has an immeasurable impact on the character and well-being of a community, enriching the lives of all involved."
The orchestra welcomes new members. For more information, contact us by email or telephone.
We rehearse every Tuesday evening 7:30pm until 9:30pm at College Heights United Methodist Church on South Blvd in Lakeland. For more information, contact Susan at firstname.lastname@example.org
